TRAINING & CLASSES

HERS, Inc. is a one-stop shop for Energy Rater or Rater Field Inspector training and certification. The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) governs the home energy rating system (HERS) industry and HERS, Inc, is an approved RESNET Rater Training Provider. Ron Hughes is an approved Rater Trainer, Candidate Field Assessor, and QA Designee.

HERS, Inc. is uniquely qualified to provide the training and competency assessment required for Energy Rater or Rater Field Inspector accreditation.  In addition, other classes and training include:

  • Continuing education for Real Estate agents

  • Energy Code compliance for the City of Little Rock with compliance training for HVAC contractors, insulation contractors, and all the building trades.

  • AmeriCorp training for the City of Little Rock 

  • Preconstruction Meeting for new multifamily or rehab to better ensure reducing call-backs, meeting targets and happy endings.

HERS, Inc. Training Qualifications

HERS, Inc. is a RESNET certified Energy Rater training provider and Ron is a certified HERS Energy Rater, Green Rater, Rater Trainer, QA Designee, and Candidate Field Assessor (CFA). As an instructor, Ron can teach the required Energy Rater class. As a CFA, Ron can grade and certify the proficiency in theory and practice of RFI or HERS Rater candidates.  

While Ron was adjunct faculty for five years at Pulaski Tech, over a thousand students have taken his classes. Besides teaching HERS rater classes, he still offers continuing education classes for real estate professionals and appraisers on recognizing, selling, and valuing energy efficiency.
